The HCIS grading system consists of Formative Evaluation and Summative Evaluation.
Evaluation System

Formative Evaluation

  • - Purpose : To assess students' understanding, preparedness, and participation during the semester.
  • - Methods : Various evaluation tools are used, including projects, written tests, presentations, and assignments.
  • - Outcome Utilization : After the formative evaluation, students receive ample feedback and support to improve their learning.

Summative Evaluation

  • - Purpose : To assess students' understanding, preparedness, and participation during the semester.
  • - Process : Summative evaluation is conducted based on the feedback and support provided during the formative evaluation, using written tests or integrated projects.
  • - Outcome : Accurate and objective evaluation results are collected

Objective Indicators

  • - MAP Tests : Conducted twice a year, these validated tests provide objective measures of students' growth.

Secondary School Evaluation

  • Grading System : Utilizes a 4.0 scale GPA (Grade Point Average) system.
  • Weighted Grading System : Implements a weighted GPA system through Honors and AP courses to more accurately reflect students' academic achievements.
HCIS uses this systematic evaluation system to objectively measure and assess students' growth and development.
